DBi Students Doing Chindogu
7th and 8th-grade DBi students are honing their design and prototyping skills in their Chindogu unit. Literally translated, chindōgu means unusual (珍, chin) tool (道具, dōgu).
Chindōgu is the practice of inventing ingenious everyday gadgets that seem to be ideal solutions to particular problems, but which may cause more problems than they solve. Their creator, Kenji Kawakami, describes these inventions as “un-useless.”
