EXPERIENCE THE REDWOOD DAY

SPIrIT

Step into the moments that bring our community together—where traditions spark joy, connections grow, and lasting memories are made. From all-school gatherings and joyful performances to classroom celebrations and community-wide events, these shared experiences are at the heart of Redwood Day.

Here, every student has a place to belong and a voice to be heard. Our traditions foster connection across grade levels, strengthen relationships between students and faculty, and create a sense of spirit and belonging that students carry with them year after year. It’s in these moments—big and small—that our values come to life, shaping a community rooted in respect, curiosity, and care.

A COMMUNITY THAT CArES

From packing meals to gathering school supplies for our extended community, students, staff, and families come together in a shared spirit of generosity. This same commitment shines at our annual auction, where families rally to raise funds that support tuition assistance and enhance programs for every student. We strengthen our school through collective efforts while making a difference beyond our walls.

BUILDING CLASSrOOM CONNECTIONS

Relationships are at the heart of the classroom experience at Redwood Day. Teachers build meaningful connections with each child and foster relationships with families, creating a foundation of trust and support. Parents have chances to participate in the classroom experience through special projects and activities, building connections with teachers, students, and each other. These shared experiences strengthen the bond between home and school, deepening everyone’s connection to the learning journey.

FINDING CONNECTION AND BELONGING

At Redwood Day, connection goes beyond the classroom. Parent Affinity Groups and the Diversity in Action Committee create spaces where families celebrate identities, share experiences, and strengthen our inclusive community. Students also find their sense of belonging through affinity gatherings and engaging equity and inclusion lessons that spark conversations, friendships, and new perspectives. Across generations and backgrounds, these experiences make our community stronger, more connected, and uniquely Redwood Day.
