In Solidarity

Dear Redwood Day Community,

To our APIDA community members, we want you to know that Redwood Day stands in solidarity with you. Great pain has been caused by the tragic mass shooting at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio in Monterey Park, California, during one of the most important celebrations of the year for the APIDA community, Lunar New Year. Our hearts are heavy for our APIDA students, faculty, staff, parents, guardians, and community members. We want you to know that we are here for you. Our work and commitments as a School, community, and individuals must continue in earnest to fight against hate and gun violence. 

There are resources in the Redwood Day Portal that we hope will be useful. HERE, you can find our resource page with articles and strategies for talking with young people. It is heartbreaking that we have to consult these resources more and more as mass shootings continue to plague our country. We are here to support the community in any way we can.
