All parents and guardians are warmly invited to join us for an evening of light bites and drinks as we celebrate the start of the new school year. Reconnect with old friends and make some new ones! This is an adults-only event. |
| Fall Festival - October 17, 2026, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. |
This is a fun and FREE event for the entire Redwood Day community! Bouncy houses, giant slide, obstacle course, rock climbing, face painting, lawn games, live music, sno-cones, food, and more! All students must be accompanied by an adult and have a signed waiver on file to participate in several activities. Waiver and Volunteer Form Coming Soon! |
| Generations Day - November 20, 2026 |
Generations Day is a longstanding Redwood Day tradition of inviting grandparents, relatives, and special friends to campus to get a glimpse of what our students experience every day. Guests see musical performances, tour our learning spaces, and leave with a photo to remember the day. More Info and Volunteer Form Coming Soon! |
| PGA Book Fair - Dec 7-11, 2026 |
The annual Redwood Day Book Fair is an opportunity to support the School while discovering a wide variety of engaging and diverse books. Students visit the fair with their classmates throughout the week, making it a joyful tradition that inspires curiosity, excitement, and a lifelong love of reading. Families and community members can also shop on campus and online to find books for their children, classrooms, and gifts. Just in time for your holiday shopping! | Grandfriend Zoom - March 10, 2027, 9:00 a.m. PST |
| This is a wonderful opportunity for “Grandfriends” to connect with Redwood Day and get a glimpse into your student’s world. Our Head of School, John Loeser, will share several updates, and you’ll hear directly from some of our incredible teachers about the engaging programs and experiences happening inside and outside of the classroom. There will also be time for questions, so you can learn more about the fantastic education your student is receiving. |
| PGA Auction - March 27, 2027 |
The auction party and the online auction are the PGA’s cornerstone fundraising events. The funds raised help support both the work of the PGA (Fall Festival, growth and development grants for faculty and staff, cultural heritage and affinity groups, teacher appreciation, etc.) and the School (tuition assistance, Oakland as a Classroom, DBI Summer Institute, etc.), and, most importantly, our children. | Meal Packing Event - April 29, 2027 |
All Redwood Day students, faculty, and staff come together in their Buddy Families to help alleviate food insecurity in our community. Students join an assembly line for a fun, high-energy event to pack thousands of nutrient-dense meals. For just 30 cents per meal, we can get food into the hands of those who need it most. We partner with Harvest Pack, a humanitarian hunger-relief nonprofit organization, to organize the event and pack meals. CityTeam Oakland then provides these hot meals to our local community members who are experiencing homelessness, poverty, hunger, and addiction. | Our alumni community is an important part of who we are! Each spring, we welcome back alumni and their families who are preparing to graduate from high school. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, faculty, and staff; revisit favorite memories; and celebrate all that our alumni have accomplished since leaving Redwood Day. |
