Welcome To Middle School

In the middle school we seek to harness the enthusiasm, excitement, joy and love of learning present in our students and teachers. Our supportive faculty encourages students to engage in all aspects of our middle school. Visual arts, performing arts, athletics, outdoor education, service learning and community service are at the heart of our middle school program. Whether it is creating a new culture in humanities, exploring green energies in science, strumming a new chord on the ukulele in music, re-imagining Shakespeare in drama, sharing a short story in English, or snorkeling in a kelp forest off of Catalina Island, our students are actively engaged in the process of learning everyday. Our dynamic and challenging curriculum is led by teachers who appreciate that all students learn differently.

In the middle school, we weave together our understanding of the social and emotional needs of adolescents, our belief in differentiating instruction, and our rich and dynamic curriculum to help all students explore their passions, hone their academic skills, and develop a life-long love of learning and service.
