The Redwood Day Library is a vibrant community space and information hub where students are invited to explore ideas and interests, gather and enjoy individual and communal activities, engage in inquiry and research that supports the curriculum, and experience the joy of reading.

The Library Collection

Our collection encourages curiosity and imagination, sparking inspiration and wonder. As part of our mission and commitment to DEIB, students see themselves reflected in texts and have opportunities to look beyond themselves through a diverse, relevant collection.

Redwood Day subscribes to a robust selection of digital resources and databases to support students’ informational research needs.

Library Events

Each year the Parent Guardian Association and Library partner for the Book Fair, an exciting opportunity for students to be exposed to new titles and celebrate the magic of books and reading. Students participate in a reading challenge and a bookmark design contest leading up to the fair, a long-standing tradition that promotes creativity and a love of reading. Middle School participates in the Book Beat, an event that features student music and spoken word performances.

The Library also holds monthly Recess Parties to cultivate the student’s creativity. During each grade level’s lunch recess, students are invited to come into the Library to do an arts and crafts project created by the Library.
