A Note From John Loeser

As we prepare for Winter Break, I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of you for being an integral part of Redwood Day. You and your children are the reasons why we continually grow into great in everything we do as a school and community. Thank you!

On Thursday evening, I look forward to seeing you at Winter Concert, a long-standing tradition, as we celebrate our student performing artists. In advance, I’d like to publicly recognize Sheyrian Harris and Mark Bernfield for the incredible work they do with our students. Not only do they teach the foundational elements of music, theory, skills, appreciation, and interpretation, they also teach the power of teamwork and collaboration. We‘re incredibly fortunate to have such a talented music faculty and an inspirational program to offer our students.

On a practical note, please be sure to leave plenty of time to get to Chabot College in Hayward on Thursday evening. The concert begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. We want to ensure that every student is present and ready for a wonderful evening of music and community. Please be sure to check the blurb below in the News & Notes section for important information regarding parking at Chabot.

If I don’t have a chance to personally connect with you over the next few days, I wish you a joyous holiday season filled with love, peace, family, and friends.

See you in 2018!
John
