Construction Begins On Our New Playground Next Week

We’re thrilled to announce that we will put the shovel in the ground for our new Lower School playground on June 11th! Over the past year, we gathered ideas and feedback from our faculty/staff, parents/guardians, and most importantly, from our students! The playground will be an amazing addition to our campus, and we look forward to watching our students explore and play when school begins in late August. While the playground won't have a hot tub or a zipline (ideas directly from student focus groups), it will surely be a fantastic space for them to play!

I would like to thank the Parent Guardian Association (PGA) for making a significant contribution toward this project. They had a banner fundraising year, especially given the outstanding results of this year's auction, and will be contributing $80,000 toward our new playground! Thank you, Jordan Karp (PGA President), Patricia Stephens (PGA Vice President), and the entire parent/guardian community for helping make this dream a reality!

Additionally, I would like to thank the Board of Trustees, and especially our Buildings and Grounds Committee, for making the playground a priority this year. Alan Chamorro, Phred Starkweather, Jordan Karp, John Kinnaman, Matt Duke, and Isaac Banks have dedicated many hours to this project. Thank you!

We look forward to unveiling the new playground on the first day of school in August!
