60th Anniversary Speaker Series - Julie Lythcott-Haims

Julie Lythcott-Haims, New York Times bestselling author, visited Redwood Day on Wednesday for two captivating presentations to faculty and staff, caregivers, and friends of Redwood Day. During the faculty session, Lythcott-Haims talked about belonging and asked educators to consider their reasons for becoming a teacher and teaching at Redwood Day. She also charged educators with making sure that every child feels cherished at Redwood Day. Later that evening, she spoke with caregivers about overparenting and how to raise our kids to become self-sufficient, resilient, and successful. The evening concluded with a Q&A and book signing hosted by Books, Inc.
