Welcome Grandparents, Relatives, and Special Friends!
Grandparents, extended family members, and special friends, whom we lovingly refer to as “grandfriends,” are an important part of our Redwood Day community. We invite you to be a part of your grandchild(ren)’s or special friend’s experience at Redwood Day in any of the following ways:
Generations Day
Redwood Day traditionally hosts an annual Generations Day event on our campus on the Friday before Thanksgiving week. The event is dedicated to our grandfriends so they can meet our leadership, mingle with each other, learn about the School, and most importantly, be a part of their student’s experience at Redwood Day. During the pandemic, we have offered virtual events instead. This year we are thrilled to bring the event back in person!

Write a Note to a Redwood Day Student
Leave a “Grandfriend Note” to your student(s) in our annual magazine, RD Connects. This is a great way to surprise your student with a heartfelt note or words of encouragement that they will have in print as a keepsake for years to come! Click here to leave your note.

Attend Redwood Day Events
Grandfriends are invited to other Redwood Day events including our annual Auction, Winter Concert, student art shows, the STEAM Fair, Step Up, and 8th-grade graduation. (Some events may be virtual and capacity at in-person events may be limited.)

Make a Gift
Grandparents and special friends are invited to make a gift to our Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund allow the School to provide a world-class curriculum, attract and retain a diverse, highly qualified, and culturally competent faculty and staff and remain accessible to a wide range of families through a strong tuition assistance program. You are also invited to sponsor or donate items for the Redwood Day annual Auction.
Make a Legacy Gift
