    Day 5

  • Equity & Inclusion Groups

    Various
Equity and Inclusion Groups provide space for intentional conversations focused on identity, diversity, equity and inclusivity for grades K-8 through activities, literature and media. We introduce vocabulary and community norms, providing shared language and expectations for participants. Equity and Inclusion groups offer students a chance to build community in and outside of their regular classrooms. Kindergarten classes explore family and sibling identity through diverse literature and fun activities. Grades 1-8 meet in developmentally appropriate groups to get to know each other better, find connections and appreciate differences.

  • Winter Concert (X-Care Closes Early at 5:00 p.m.)

The Reed L. Buffington Visual and Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Chabot College, Hayward
Our annual Winter Concert will again be held at the Reed L. Buffington Visual and Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Chabot College in Hayward on Thursday, December 20 at 7 p.m. Chabot College is approximately 15 miles south of Redwood Day and is located on Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward, off 1-880. Be prepared to pay $2.00 for parking at one of the nearby kiosks. They take dollar bills, quarters, nickels and dimes. The nearest parking lots to the performing arts center are Lots G & H.

Because this is during rush hour, we strongly recommend carpooling and leaving enough time to arrive on time. There are plenty of eating options nearby and the center is very close to Southland Mall, for those who want to arrive early.

X-Care and X-Plus close early at 5 p.m. sharp. Please be sure to have your child(ren) picked up before then.

Contact Denise Breland with any questions.
