7th and 8th Grade: The Details

*Alameda County indicated that they will take 4-12 weeks to make a decision about the reopening of Grades 7-12. Given that Alameda County is in the “Orange Tier” as of October 13, 2020, we have planned for two tentative reopening timelines for 7th and 8th grades. Both are subject to change, at any time, based on ACPHD guidance.

If County guidance allows for an earlier opening:

December 7-11

December 14-17
These days will be half days of in-person instruction and half days from home. Due to the unique nature of the drop-off and pick-up schedule for these grades, we will send separate communication when the dates are closer regarding drop-off and pick-up times. Please plan to pack a morning snack and a brown bag lunch for your child.
January 11-15
These days will be full days of in-person instruction. Due to the unique nature of the drop-off and pick-up schedule for these grades, we will send separate communication when the dates are closer regarding drop-off and pick-up times. Please plan to pack a morning snack and brown bag lunch for your child.

If County guidance requires a later opening:

January 11-15

These days will be half days of in-person instruction and half days from home. Due to the unique nature of the drop-off and pick-up schedule for these grades, we will send separate communication when the dates are closer regarding drop-off and pick-up times. Please plan to pack a morning snack and a brown bag lunch for your child.
January 19-22

January 25-29
These days will be full days of in-person instruction. Due to the unique nature of the drop-off and pick-up schedule for these grades, we will send separate communication when the dates are closer regarding drop-off and pick-up times. Please plan to pack a morning snack and a brown bag lunch for your child.
