In our Lower School art studio, children experience a wide variety of creative media. They gain a fundamental base they can use to express themselves and their imaginations. This manifests itself in a progression of expanding knowledge and skills in areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and three-dimensional art. Cross-curricular projects and exposure to art history and multicultural art round out the program.

Musically, students are given a variety of options to develop their musical knowledge and skills. Every student has music class twice a week, starting in kindergarten. Those who seek additional music opportunities can choose from a variety of vocal and instrumental activities – rock band, jazz band, chorus, and a string ensemble. Students have abundant opportunities to perform within the School at concerts, assemblies, and talent shows, as well as in the broader community.
