Fundraising
Your participation and involvement create a thriving environment for all Redwood Day School students and a better school community overall. Every fundraising committee needs enthusiastic volunteers to help ensure success.
Spring Auction
The Spring Auction is a cornerstone of the RDSPGA's fundraising activities. Co-chairs plan the event, which may include a silent auction, live auction, sign-up boards, raffles, and so on. Co-chairs also coordinate Spring Auction arrangements with the Advancement Office. Opportunities for being involved as subcommittee chairs or as volunteers center around party planning, marketing and promotion, database management, data entry, acquisition of donations, advertising sales, and check-out.

Merchant Rebate Programs, including eScrip
Merchant rebate programs cost participating families nothing but provide important income to the RDSPGA. These programs include but are not limited to eScrip and scrip card sales. Through these programs, merchants give Redwood Day School a percentage of the proceeds from purchases made by parents and others. Related programs may also fall under the umbrella of this committee. Volunteer activities include managing the programs, marketing, making phone calls, distributing materials, and so on.
- Sign up for eScrip, then shop as you always do, and without a hitch, participating merchants will send rebates to the RDSPGA based on your purchases. To get started, visit www.escrip.com. Our eScrip ID number is 13733097. Grandparents, friends, and neighbors can participate too!
- Online purchases count too! Go to (https://secure.escrip.com/jsp/supporter/registration/step1.jsp) and register your credit or debit card that you use when you do your online shopping! Once you are registered with eScrip, shop THROUGH the ONLINE MALL link on the eScrip home page (www.escrip.com). Instead of going directly to the website (i.e. Amazon, Gap, Home Depot), go to the eScrip Online Mall, find the store of your choice and shop away! Great for booking travel too.
Chairs: Debbie Degenshein and Rachel Scholl
Book Fair
During the annual Book Fair (December 6-10), shoppers can buy books for themselves, for the Helen Dittmer Library, and for classroom use. Volunteer opportunities include setting up book and merchandise displays (or breaking them down); promoting Book Fair events; decorating; cashiering; and organizing, staffing, or providing snacks for associated activities such as a Middle School party, author visit, or teacher previews.
Chairs: Sarah Wessel and Kate Stechschulte
