Parent University

Our 6th annual Parent University on January 28, 2012 was another terrific success!  Over 150 parents and guardians from RDS and the local community were in attendence to learn from inspiring speakers and presenters. Join us again in January 2013!

At Parent University, you’ll get key information and insight into some of the most important topics faced by today's families. Attendees can choose among a variety of breakout sessions on topics such as positive discipline, puberty, relational aggression, active family lifestyles, and inborn temperament.

Keynote Speaker

Dacher Keltner, Ph.D., is the executive editor of Greater Good, the founding faculty director of the Greater Good Science Center, and a professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is also the author of Born to Be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life and a co-editor of The Compassionate Instinct: The Science of Human Goodness. He will present “Ten Tips for a Meaningful Life.”
