Strategic Plan & Mission

A strategic plan is the roadmap for a school’s future growth. This document, including the revised mission statement, is the culmination of over a year of thoughtful work by the Board of Trustees, including feedback from faculty, staff, and the Parents’ & Guardians’ Association at both the beginning and conclusion of the process.

The strategic plan charts two parallel courses: strengthening and deepening our core K-8 program, while making prudent preparations for our next K-12 opportunity. This plan covers the immediate future of the School—the next four years—and keeps within its sight the RDS vision of becoming a K-12 school.

In line with this vision, the revised mission statement captures the essence of RDS today and is expansive enough in scope to allow for growth into an outstanding K-12 school:
