Rock the Night Away with Redwood Day

The 23rd Annual Spring Gala and Auction
Presented by the Redwood Day School Parents’ Association

Put on your dancin' shoes and RSVP today for Rock the Night Away with Redwood Day, the RDS spring gala and auction. Along with shakin’ it to a live band and hanging with your posse, your admission includes a marvelous dinner with beverages (wine, beer, soft drinks) and two complimentary cocktails.

We'll Be Dancing in the Streets!
Rock out and get down to the jamming sounds of Shine, a live band.

Dress Like a Rock Star (Or a Fan)
Come rocked out, punked up, glammed to the max, diva gorgeous, in jeans and a concert T, or wearing black-on-black. You'll get style marks for fun, creativity, and panache.

Silent Auction and Live Auction
Hundreds of wonderful items and tantalizing experiences will be available for bidding at the silent auction before dinner and the live auction after dinner. You can preview the auction catalog (pdf 3.6 MB) and wine pullout (pdf 269 KB).

Sign-Up Boards
The sign-up boards feature parties and special events throughout the year, as well as fun-filled kids' activities. Sign up for as many as you like!

Three Groovy Raffles
Give your child a chance to be in charge with these raffles:

  • Head of School for the Day includes lunch with Mike "The Boss" Riera
  • Head of Middle School for the Day includes lunch with "Big Bopper" Warren Sepkowitz
  • Head of Lower School for the Day includes lunch with "Queen" Denise Breland

Get raffle tickets online, in the Gallery on Friday mornings, or at the auction. 

Play "Heads or Tails" to Win "Best of Live"
This year, Best of Live is a Heads or Tails game! The winner can choose any live auction item. Only 50 Best of Live Tickets will be sold, so everyone who enters has an excellent chance of winning.

Drinks and Dinner
Your Rock the Night Away ticket includes two bar cocktails; complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks throughout the evening; and a fab dinner:

  • Tuscano salad: Baby arugula, grilled Castroville artichoke, radicchio, and Napa olives with balsamic vinaigrette 
  • Choice of entrees:
- Sonoma Breast of Chicken with roasted marble potatoes, broccolini, and heirloom carrots
- Mahi mahi with wasabi mashed potatoes, baby bok choy, and soy-ginger butter 
- Handmade Porcini Ravioli (vegetarian/vegan) with Half Moon Bay vegetables and shaved parmigiano-reggiano cheese
  • Assortment of petite desserts with coffee and tea service

Childcare
Childcare for ages 4-12 is available and includes dinner and a movie, but there are only 20 spaces, so reserve your spot now.

Parking
On the evening of the event, parking is available:

  • On the street for free if you’re up for a short walk to the hotel entrance
  • In the hotel’s Self Parking lot for $12.00, which is half the regular price
  • Through Valet Parking for $19.00 at the hotel entrance
