Read Around the World
At the Book Fair, you can browse, learn about, and buy books for kids and adults of ages—cookbooks, parenting books, you name it! Books are on display in the school gallery and in the library during the Book Fair, which takes place in November.
A Wide Range of Quality Books
Scholastic and local bookstore Laurel Books provide hundreds of titles for children and adults, along with posters, journals, writing implements, and a small selection of toys. In addition, books by our visiting authors and by our own Mike Riera and Joe DiPrisco are available. If there's a book that you want to buy but cannot locate, just ask! Even if it’s not at the Book Fair, we may be able to special order it for you.
Read, Give, Enjoy
The Book Fair generates excitement about books, literacy, and reading. It offers opportunities for parents to purchase books for the school library and classrooms, and it raises funds for the Parents’ Association. Through Scholastic’s One for Books program, our school community can provide books to other local schools' libraries and to programs for children in need.
Each Redwood Day School class visits the Book Fair in the first few days so students can compile a “wish list,” which they can give to their parents so they can shop for their children. Students can shop before school, during recess, and during lunch. After school, students can shop at the Book Fair if a parent accompanies them. Find out more:

Artwork Contest
Be sure to take a look at the wonderful artwork on display in the gallery. RDS students submitted their artwork reflecting the theme “Read Around the World” to librarian Ms Ammenti in September. Winning entries were printed on postcards sent out to promote the Book Fair, and all entries will be displayed through the Book Fair.
Book Bug Boogie

Many thanks to the volunteers who brought bring pizza, salad, and desserts, and to everyone who contributed to a fantastic evening.
