The RDS Annual Fund is our core-giving program for the needs of today, bridging the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student. Gifts can be made from cash, securities or property. Many employers offer Matching Gift programs that increase the value of gifts to the School.
Annual Fund dollars support the operating budget to help cover all those “extras” that make an RDS education an outstanding one:
- Support financial aid so that we can continue to have an economically diverse community.
- Support for our faculty in their professional development.
- Support all the technological improvements and upgrades that are required in a school like ours.
Some other important things to know about the RDS Annual Fund:
- Funds raised by the Annual Fund generally account for 6-7% of the RDS operating budget.
- Each family is asked to contribute to the extent that they are able.
- No gift is too small or too large. 100% participation by families is the goal.
- All gifts to the RDS Annual Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
- Last year, 100% of faculty and staff supported the Annual Fund
- The Advancement Office and the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees work together to administrate this important yearly campaign.
